It’s been a long time since we’ve blogged and there’s so much the team and I want to share with you, so we’ll be making this blog a regular event from now on.
Life has been very busy, indeed. Last year we had a commercial kitchen installed so now we’re producing more garden delights, and more quickly. It’s hard to express what a joy it is to work in the new kitchen.
So, why is this post entitled “Your wish is our command”? Did you know that we make jams, marmalades, sauces, or relishes at your request? At the Murrumbateman Village Markets on Saturday, 11 August, We’ll be selling such a request — it’s Kiwi Fruit Jam. Come and taste it.
Some other requests we’ve made over the years are:
- Tomato Marmalade
- Tomato Kasundi
- Quince & Ginger Jam
- Lemon & Dill Jelly
- Fig & Star Anise Jam
- Watermelon & Ginger Jam (this one tasted great but it’s just not practical to make)
- Orange & Capsicum Jam (this one also tasted great, as far as we were concerned, but it wasn’t a good seller).
We’ve also been asked to make Eggplant Kasundi but haven’t started it yet. So if you’d like a particular combination of flavours, let us know at our Facebook page, or come and tell us at our Murrumbateman Village Markets on any second and fourth Saturday of the month. At each market we have a large range of our garden delights for you to sample. Or if you prefer, you can also order directly from us.
And in case you’ve forgotten (or have never seen) what the garden looks like, here’s a view of a small section of it in springtime…
